Canterbury Summer Game Jam

1 July – 30 September

Canterbury Christ Church University’s Games Design department invites game developers of all experience levels to take part in the Canterbury Summer Game Jam. Submitted games can be digital, card or board games and will be judged at this year’s Playdate/Westgate event in October. The theme for the jam is ‘Kentish Pasts and Futures’.

Entries into the Summer Game Jam will be eligible to compete for one or more of the following prizes:

– Best “3 Minutes of Fun”

– Best Game for 8 or More Players

– Best Use of a Local Landmark or Location

– Public Favourite (Over 14s’ Vote)

– Public Favourite (Under 14s’ Vote)

Shortlisted finalists and winners will be able to promote their games as 2022 Finalists or Winners for Canterbury Festival award categories in any future online materials. Winners will receive small token trophies.

In order to be eligible for prize judging, entrants must be available to display and demonstrate their games in action at Playdate/Westgate on Sunday 23 October. Entrants may also decide to take part just for fun and for the experience of doing a game jam.
