Professional Development with Canterbury Festival

Teach Educate Create – development workshops in Kent

Canterbury Festival offers professional development in performance and the visual arts as well as showcasing the very best of local and international artistic talent.

Twenty six actors, writers, visual artists and musicians took part in a two-day course providing them with the skills to share their artform with clients of Canterbury’s Catching Lives.

The actors, writers, visual artist and performers learnt how to deliver creative workshops and shared their skills in animation, comedy, printing and book binding.

The project celebrated with a highly-successful exhibition in Folkestone’s Gallery 35-37. A great success, the exhibition raised over £200 which was donated back to Catching Lives by the clients.

The Festival is proud of its charitable work and delighted that the TEC course is now endorsed by Canterbury Christ Church University.

This course will run again in 2020 for another group of local artists, musicians and performers.
