A Christmas Offering

An Evening of Spiritual and Secular Song for Christmas with the Bourne Consort

Thursday 2 December, 7.30pm | St Pauls’ Church, Canterbury, CT1 1NH

Tickets £16.50 (Incl £1.50 booking fee)

We are immensely pleased to welcome back the Bourne Consort for our Christmas concert this year in the beautiful and historic St Paul’s Church. Established in 2013 the Bourne Consort draw their members from the Canterbury and Ashford areas and have gained a high reputation for their performances throughout the County.

Singing a capella the Consort perform “music that is as enjoyable to listen to as to sing” ranging from medieval madrigals to works by modern composers in a variety of arrangements. For Christmas we are promised some very well know and some not so well-known seasonal pieces, including several to join in with.

The ancient church of St Paul’s Without the Walls dates from the reign of Henry III and was originally linked to the Abbey of St Augustine. It was partially rebuilt and enlarged in Victorian times, and retains a serene and peaceful character, perfect for a glorious celebration of Christmas.

The concert will be followed by mince pies and Steve’s Marvellous Mulled Wine in the Church Hall, with a non-alcoholic alternative available. Leading up to our first real Christmas for two years, this concert will be a wonderful start to Advent so join us and begin your Christmas celebrations here.

Please note this event will not be socially distanced. Before booking, please read our Covid-secure measures.
