Exclusive to the Festival Friends – Tours of Two Cathedral Workshops:

Stained Glass: Director Leonie Seliger and her staff have kindly agreed to welcome a limited number of Friends into the studio to see and hear about their work researching, conserving, repairing and creating stained glass windows.

Important notes: the studio is small and has no air conditioning so reaches very high temperatures during the summer. Please do not attend if you suffer from any form of heat intolerance. There are also occasional fumes from chemicals used.

Stonemasons: Head Stonemason Tony Long will supervise a visit to the Stonemason’s Drawing Studio to see how a template is created, and then escort you 75 feet up the scaffolding on the South-West Tower to see work already completed and in progress.

Health and Safety:

• Customers must be a minimum of 16 years old.

• Please do not bring handbags or wear loose sleeves.

• Please wear a mask and sturdy footwear.

• Please follow all advice given by Leonie and Tony.

The Tours are for 1 hour each.
