This concert is the culmination of a landmark project to re-imagine new works from old. Featuring commissions for choir, saxophone and organ by fifteen leading composers including Gabriel Jackson, Errollyn Wallen and Roderick Williams, it straddles the traditional and the contemporary. Canterbury Cathedral Choir will be joined by celebrated saxophonist Sam Corkin to bring a fresh perspective to some well-loved repertoire, all within the iconic surroundings of Canterbury Cathedral.
To take part in Palimpsest, community singers are invited to attend free workshops between 2pm and 4pm on the first four Sundays of October (2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd) in St Gregory’s Centre for Music. Click here for more info.
