In 2019 Canterbury Festival’s Made In Kent programme worked with over 2000 young artists, performers, comedians, poets and musicians.
Split into six projects with a focus on dance, theatre, classical music, popular music, poetry and comedy – the project was designed as a stepping stone for early-stage performers to develop their careers.
Participants received development days with professional practitioners, industry feedback, rehearsal space, funding and the opportunity to perform as part of Canterbury Festival 2019.
The Festival would like to thank our sponsors, supporters and practitioners for making this project possible. This project was supported by Kent Community Foundation, Arts Council England, Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent County Council, Direction Law and Canterbury Forest of Blean Rotary Club.
