Terms & Conditions
All tickets are subject to Canterbury Festival’s terms and conditions. If you have any questions regarding your event, please contact the Box Office on 01227 457568.
We regret that that tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded unless an event is cancelled.
Canterbury Festival tickets are subject to a non-refundable booking fee of between £1.50 and £2 per ticket dependent on event, which is an unavoidable administration cost. Prices listed in the Festival brochure include this charge (as stated in the promotional material) and are highlighted on individual event web pages and in the basket breakdown when booking online. Please note, if the event is cancelled, booking fees and postage fees are non-refundable.
Canterbury Festival reserves the right to change the programme and introduce special offers and discounts without prior notice. These will not apply to tickets already purchased before the announcement.
In some venues latecomers will not be allowed to take their seats until a suitable break in the performance. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the advertised start time to guarantee entrance.
Audio recorders, video cameras and mobile phones may not be used in specific venues. Please contact Canterbury Festival to request permission.
Festival management reserves the right to refuse admission.
If you are attending an event that is age restricted, you may be asked to prove your age. You will not be permitted access to the venue if you are unable to produce a valid UK passport, UK driving license or an accredited pass card.
On all other events under 16s must be accompanied by a guardian.
All tickets are non-transferable and will be void if re-sold. Some performances may contain strong language and adult themes. We reserve the right to decline refund requests on the basis of event content being deemed inappropriate.
Admission to Canterbury Festival events is only permitted on production of an entrance ticket(s) unless otherwise expressly advertised in relation to free events. Canterbury Festival reserves the right to refuse admission, and to remove from the Festival Enclosure, at its sole discretion, any person(s) whose conduct is prejudicial to the safety and convenience of others, or to the proper running of the Festival. We will not tolerate aggressive and/or drunken behaviour under any circumstances. Should this occur your admission will be refused and you will not be entitled to a refund.
You represent and warrant that the Tickets are purchased for personal use only and not for trade or commercial purposes.
You will be responsible:
(i) for checking your ticket details and ensure that they are correct and accurate;
(ii) for any loss, theft or damage to your Tickets;
(iii) to ascertain whether an event, performance or activity has been cancelled and the date and/or time rearranged. If the event, performance or activity is cancelled you will be offered Tickets for the rescheduled time and date. We will use reasonable endeavours to inform you of any cancellation once we have received notification of the same. However it may not always be possible to do so, for example due to changes happening at short notice;

(v) to comply with all relevant venue regulations including age restrictions and safety announcements whilst attending the event, performance or activity.
Restrictions may apply to mobile phones, pets (except assistance dogs), and your own food and drink. It is your responsibility to contact us to check if any of these restrictions apply to the venue you wish to attend.
If an event is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered tickets at any rescheduled event (subject to availability) up to the face value of the tickets or, if the ticket holder is unable to attend the rescheduled event or the event is not rescheduled a refund of the face value of the ticket.
The promoter reserves the right to alter or vary the programme of an event without being obliged to refund or exchange tickets.

External Events
Canterbury Festival provides a Box Office service to partners and small arts organisations. These events state in the description that they are organised, managed and delivered by the relevant party and tickets will feature the organiser’s logo and website. The organisation and running of these events is the sole responsibility of the event organiser – with Canterbury Festival acting as the ticket agent.
In the event of a cancellation, Canterbury Festival will make every effort to contact bookers and arrange a refund for the face value of the ticket. Please note that booking and postage fees are non-refundable and that the Festival’s other ticket policies (listed above) apply.
Canterbury Festival will also make every effort to keep audiences informed of specific event information as it is released. Tickets for collection can be collected from the venue on the day of the event. In most situations, the event organiser will manage ticket collections and door sales at the event and will be provided with an attendee list comprised of booking names and order numbers. No additional personal contact information, such as addresses, emails or phone numbers will be provided.
If you have any feedback for the event organiser or would like to make a complaint, please contact the Festival Box Office who will be able to provide the relevant contact details – or alternatively please contact the organiser directly through their website.
