You can support the Festival Foundation by leaving a Legacy

By remembering the Festival Foundation in your will, or donating a gift, you will help to secure the future development and long-term financial stability of the Canterbury Festival. Your gift or legacy will help to ensure the continued provision of high-quality international performances, help major projects and the development of wide-ranging education and our outreach projects within the local community.

Remembering a charity in your will is straightforward and leaving something to the Canterbury Festival, no matter how small, will really make a difference.

How To Leave A Legacy

Legacies can be made by way of a gift of cash, shares or property. Your solicitor can advise you on writing a will. Remember that charitable gifts are free from Inheritance Tax and may also reduce other taxes. Check with your professional adviser or visit hmrc.gov.uk/inheritancetax

There are three main types of Legacy:

Pecuniary Legacy: a monetary gift (bequest) of a fixed sum

Specific Legacy: a gift of a specific item or asset

Residual Legacy: a gift of all or part of the assets remaining in your estate after debts, expenses and specific bequests have been paid.

Please leave a legacy today to:

Canterbury Theatre and Festival Trust Registered Charity No. 279714, 8 Orange Street, Canterbury CT1 2JA. The receipt of the Charity’s treasurer or any other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge to your Executors.
