Monday 21 October, 8pm

Augustine Hall

Tickets £14 (Incl. £1.50 booking fee)

Prior to retirement, David Tadd was Head of Forensic Investigation and Operations at New Scotland Yard, responsible for the strategic and operational forensic response to crime in London. In this talk he will give a unique insight into the wide-ranging capability of forensic evidence in support of a criminal investigation.

David will outline typical forensic clues that can lead to the identification of the offender such as fingerprints and DNA, as well as other key forensic evidence types to demonstrate how they help to piece together the finer details of the crime.

The talk will focus on the forensic journey through two high profile and complex case studies, from the initial response and forensic recovery process to the detailed forensic analysis and the final outcome at the Old Bailey.

Talks will last approximately one hour followed by a Q&A.
