Canterbury Festival giving students hands on work experience.

Canterbury Festival has teamed up with Canterbury College to offer hands on work experience with one of their students to work on the redesign of the Made in Kent logo.

After a thorough application and interview process, Website & Digital Design student Anthony Saunders was selected to complete this exciting project, which forms part of the coursework for his qualification.

Speaking about his experience at Canterbury Festival,

“It’s been a great doing work experience with Canterbury Festival, from day one I felt welcomed by the team and I have gained valuable insight that I will take forward with me in the future. I’d like to thank everyone for the opportunities given and trusting me with the responsibility to revamp the Made in Kent logo.”

Made in Kent forms part of the learning and participation arm of the Festival, which seeks to find, develop and showcase local emerging and mid-career talent. We run competitions in each of the different art forms represented in the main Festival programme: Theatre, Dance, Classical Music, Pop Music, Poetry, and Comedy.

Made in Kent competitions will open in April so keep your eyes peeled for more information on how to take part in this year’s competitions.
