Celebrate Local Music with Beautiful Noise!

Join us in venues across the city for a day of community music-making! Local singers aged from 8 to 80 yrs old, choirs and musicians will perform an eclectic range of musical styles with upbeat soul, rock and pop classics, original award-winning songs and show-tune classics to bring a touch of the West End to Canterbury!

‘It’s about getting people to see what’s on offer, so they start thinking “where can I get a go of that?”‘

Come together at Beautiful Noise to celebrate the joy of music.

Beautiful Noise – a Community Music Celebration takes place on Saturday 21 October in Westgate Hall, St Peter’s Methodist Church and Hall, and Whitefriars Shopping Centre. All events are free and no booking is required. Full details of the performance schedule are available here, or request a printable copy from [email protected]

Want to catch some film and classical music too? For the first year (of many!), the Beautiful Noise Orchestra will be putting on a programme to showcase the talents of local students. A collaboration between students from schools across Canterbury, the Beautiful Noise Orchestra will be led each year by a different host school. This year it will be Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School, led by Director of Music Simon Burvill.

The concert will be held on Friday 3 Nov, 7.30pm at Shirley Hall, Kings College. Tickets are £4.50. For more information, click here.
