We are very excited to announce that our Schools’ Poetry Competition is returning for 2023!

We are inviting young writers from across Kent to submit poems inspired by this year’s National Poetry word  –  Refuge. We will be awarding Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, with accompanying cash prizes, across our four age categories – ages 5-8, ages 9-11, ages 12-15, and ages 16-18.  Furthermore, each of the winning poets will have their work published in an anthology, and will be invited to read their work at a Presentation Evening later in the year.

Our Schools’ Poetry Competition has been captivating and celebrating the imaginations of Kent children for over 20 years. Recent competitions have been hugely successful, receiving thousands of submissions from talented young poets all over Kent.
